My MR2

For those not familiar with my car it is a 1993 Toyota MR2 Turbo. There is lots more information about the MR2 at http://www.mr2.com/ - I've included some information about MR2's in general and this car in particular below:

• Two-seater with mid-engined configuration - the engine is behind the seats mounted just ahead of the rear wheels, helping to provide excellent handling.
• Two-litre, four cylinder turbocharged Toyota 3S-GTE engine producing 200ft-lbs of torque and 200hp in stock form.
• This car has anti-lock brakes, limited slip differential, factory anti-theft system, electro-hydraulic power steering and the premium “3-in-1” CD player/cassette/radio Toyota stereo. It doesn't have leather (which is a liability in the Houston summers anyway) but it does have the seven-way adjustable driver's seat. I believe all MR2 Turbos came with power locks/windows/mirrors, tilt steering etc.
• Like almost every other MR2 Turbo it has removable “t-tops” - two glass panels that lift out of the roof and stow behind the seats for wind-in-the-hair motoring. The original owner still had the t-top shades and bags in good condition.
• There is a reasonably large (for this type of car, anyway) trunk at the rear of the car and a small space up front. A long weekend away for two is no problem. Week-long camping trips are, however, out of the question...
• For the numbers people, the car will supposedly do the 0-60mph dash in around 6½ seconds, the ¼-mile drag in about 14½ seconds and go on to a top speed of a hair under 150mph. Or so I'm told.
